Privacy policy

This policy explains what information this website processes, why, and what choices you have. The controller is Alberto R. (details on the legal notice page). Because the controller is established in Spain, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies; we also aim to handle information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. What we collect when you visit

Our server records technical request data — IP address, time, page requested, browser type — to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. These logs are kept for a short period and are not used to build profiles. We do not ask you to register or log in.

2. Cookies and local storage

The site itself stores only one preference in your browser's local storage: whether you chose the light or dark theme. It sets no tracking cookies of its own. Third-party services described below may set cookies.

3. Advertising — Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to show advertising. Google and its partners use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads and measure them, and may personalise ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google's explanation of how it uses information from sites that use its services is at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. You can turn off personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com. Where the law requires your consent to these cookies, it is requested through a consent message before they are set.

4. Other third parties

Maps are drawn with the Leaflet library (served from unpkg) using map tiles from CARTO and OpenStreetMap, and fonts load from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts those servers directly, so they receive your IP address.

5. Information about companies

The register republishes information from notices that Australian law requires to be made public: company names, ACNs, appointment types, dates, courts and the names of the registered practitioners appointed, who act in a professional capacity. We do not publish practitioners' phone numbers or email addresses, and we do not list individuals' personal insolvencies.

6. Legal basis and retention

Server logs and company information are processed on the basis of legitimate interests (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)): running a secure website and informing creditors and the public about company insolvencies. Advertising cookies rely on consent where required. Company pages remain available as a historical record; see the contact page to request a correction or removal.

7. Your rights and complaints

You may ask for access to, correction or erasure of personal information, object to processing, or request restriction, by writing to [email protected]. If you are in Australia you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), oaic.gov.au. As the controller is based in Spain, you may also lodge a complaint with the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), aepd.es.
